The custodian and recipient for preserving our conservation easements is Land Trust for America, Inc.

Land Trust for America is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the conservation and protection of land and natural resources in their native environment. They received IRS Tax Exempt qualification as 501-C3 tax-exempt organization, June 29, 2007.

Land Trust for America works in conjunction with landowners and developers to further their own desire to preserve and conserve land by creating opportunities to preserve connected natural lands. LTFA sees opportunities in connecting both larger tracts of land and smaller, irregular parcels to provide valuable conservation and preservation communities.

Land Trust for America exercises its ability to protect and preserve the heritage of the land we live in and around through several means, including conservation easements, accepting fee simple gifts of land, promotion of citizen participation in natural resource conservation, and facilitation of other public and private efforts in those same interests. Conservation measures are also applicable for the preservation of farmland, forest, wilderness, and other natural areas.
